I have been holding onto a $50 gift card I received, waiting for the right time. Last week we had new neighbors move in behind us. They almost immediately put up a No Trespassing sign facing our house…on our tree. I was a bit irritated. The following morning I woke up and put our Welcome flag in our backyard facing their house, bought a nice houseplant for them and a card that said ‘We know moving and transitions can be hard; we want to help with your needs. Sincerely, the Blankenship family’ and I put the $50 gift card in there. I KNEW this was the right moment. Hopefully we can get to know them, but if not, kindness and generosity will never be in vain.
